Mike Julius, CTC, joined Carnival in 1989 as Business Development Manager for the Northern Midwest region. He was promoted to Director of Sales – Central Region in 2003, Vice President of Sales, Central U.S. in 2005 and Managing Director of U.S. Trade Sales in 2010. Today, Julius is the VP Field Sales for North America.
In his role of VP Field Sales for North America, Julius oversees the company’s North American Regional Vice Presidents, Business Development Manager/Directors and Carnival’s Independent Agent Team, all of whom are responsible for maximizing sales & marketing opportunities as well as training and support for all travel partners. Julius is involved in the development of agency partner programs, travel partner engagement, key homeport and CVB relationships, joint marketing opportunities and Home Based Partner Program.
Starting his career in the travel industry in 1979, Julius spent 11 years at AAA Iowa and Travel and Transport as a leisure travel specialist. Travel & Transport promoted Julius to City Manager where his offices were consistently recognized for top leisure sales performance. He has been with Carnival Cruise Lines since 1989.
Julius is a resident of Palm Springs, CA and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a food & wine enthusiast and spends his free time practicing yoga and enjoying travel…by sea of course.
